The National Guild of Removers has been proudly serving the removals industry since welcoming its first Member in 1992. From the very beginning, The Guild has been dedicated to championing consumer protection, ensuring that every customer should enjoy a high-quality experience when moving home.

Over the years, we have pioneered several consumer-focused initiatives, including the financing of the first and only Ombudsman Scheme dedicated exclusively to protecting home movers. This groundbreaking initiative has set a benchmark for accountability and transparency within the removals industry.

To further extend our reach and support consumers across the UK, we launched The Scottish Guild of Removers, which caters specifically to the unique needs of those moving to, from and within Scotland.

Maintaining the highest standards within our Membership is a cornerstone of The Guild’s mission. We enforce strict Membership criteria, and every Member must pass an Ombudsman Approved Inspection Programme.

This ensures that all Members consistently meet our rigorous expectations for quality and professionalism. In addition, Members benefit from comprehensive training programmes, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to continually improve their services.

As a forward-thinking organisation, we have also embraced technology to enhance the customer experience and support our Members. Our bespoke review platform, Removal Approval, enables clients to provide valuable feedback and helps maintain transparency and trust.

Meanwhile, we’ve been at the forefront of technical innovation, developing tools such as an Augmented Reality app, Love Moving Home App, to better inform our Members’ clients about their moves, as well as an AI-powered quoting system. These advancements help Members deliver clear, accurate quotes and improve communication with their customers.
